Hola, new and newish teachers,
Maybe you cried. Maybe you screamed. Maybe you immediately started spiraling about what biliteracy even means, whether your Spanish is “good enough,” and how you’re supposed to teach in two languages when nobody at your school can clearly explain what dual-language instruction should actually look like.
Some teachers walk into strong support systems. A lot don’t.
And if you already know you do not want to spend your first year waiting and hoping someone eventually helps you figure it out… the new Dual-language teacher course was made for you!
It’s the orientation your school should have given you, the biliteracy training your district probably didn’t offer, and the support you need so you’re not spending your first year trying to figure everything out alone.
Inside, you will learn how to approach biliteracy with more clarity, stronger instructional routines, and a better understanding of what dual language teaching can actually look like in a real classroom.

✖️ You’re looking for a quick fix instead of building the skills needed to become a strong dual-language teacher.
✖️ You want scripted teaching without understanding how to create meaningful biliteracy experiences for students.
✖️ You’re not open to trying new strategies, reflecting on your practice, or growing throughout the school year.
✖️ You believe dual language instruction is just translating curriculum instead of helping students truly develop bilingualism and biliteracy.

Module 0 — Foundations of Dual Language Build your foundation before anything else. What dual language actually is, what biliteracy looks like in the classroom, and why this work matters.
Module 1 — Before the First Day Prework, classroom prep, and materials. Figure out what actually matters before school starts so you stop wasting time on things that don’t.
Module 2 — Classroom Management Physical space, rules, routines, instructional structures, and how to create a classroom that feels safe for students navigating two languages at once.
Module 3 — Unit and Lesson Planning Plan with purpose. Adapt what you already have to meet biliteracy goals instead of starting from scratch every single time. Get access to editable templates you can use.
Module 4 — Bridging The piece most new DL teachers are missing. What bridging is, how to use it, and how to create activities that move students between both languages intentionally.
Module 5 — Dual Language Instructional Strategies Oracy, el dictado, Lotta Lara, and more. Practical, low-prep strategies that actually work in a dual language classroom.
Module 6 — Dual Language Teacher Survival Time management, stress management, and how to keep growing without burning out. Because your cannot serve your students from an empty cup.

Oldie but a newbie
This course was a great refresher for me. I have been teaching for 22 years, 2 years in Dual Immersion. I have a lot of experience and yet I don't in teaching Dual Immersion. This course reminded me of a lot of things. It taught me some new things too. I would definitely recommend to any teacher. I also felt validated. Mar y sol made me feel like she was talking to me. It was as if I had a course just for me. A mentor that was only helping me. Check it out!!!
